We, Froni and Stelios, established our small family- hotel thirty years ago and are always welcoming new guests. We have 12 grandchildren, 4 married daughters and a son, Yannis, who runs our breakfast- cafe. Many of the vegetables and fruits we serve are grown by Stelios in his garden and also the eggs are from our own chicken. Stelios goes almost everyday for fishing and we are cooking on Mondays, whenever possible, free fresh fish and other specialities for our guests. Froni is famous for her delicious "kalitsounakia"(stuffed pies). We speak German, English, and if you are lucky, you find someone of us who speaks also French. You can send us emails in these three languages and we answer as soon as possible.
Our breakfast-cafe
We have a small cafe inside the hotelbuilding where you are served from a.m. to p.m. refreshments or snacks and will always find nice company. In the morning we offer breakfast, which you can choose from our menu, in the hot noon you can pass by for a coffee, fresh orange juice or a salad and we are open until night for drinks and music. You can expect fair prices and joyful hours with Yannis and a raki or two...
Georgioupolis
Formerly a small fishing village, Georgioupolis is very much a tourist town now, with many cafes, tavernas and small hotels. It is located 43 km east of Chania and about 22 km west of Rethymno in the Apokoronas region.
Georgioupoli is found at the apex of Almiros bay on the Sea of Crete, with Cape Drapano and its rocky coast to the north and the long sandy beaches towards Rethimno in the east. Three rivers meet the sea at the village. The largest, Almiros, creates a small harbour for fishing and tourist boats.
